HOW TO MAKE A WEBSITE

what is a website?

website, also written as Web siteweb site, or simply site, is a set of related web pages containing content such as textimagesvideo, audio, etc. A website is hosted on at least one web server, accessible via a network such as the Internet or a private local area network through an Internet address known as a Uniform Resource Locator. All publicly accessible websites collectively constitute the World Wide Web.
A webpage is a document, typically written in plain text interspersed with formatting instructions of Hypertext Markup Language (HTMLXHTML). A webpage may incorporate elements from other websites with suitable markup anchors.
Webpages are accessed and transported with the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), which may optionally employ encryption (HTTP Secure, HTTPS) to provide security and privacy for the user of the webpage content. The user's application, often a web browser, renders the page content according to its HTML markup instructions onto a display terminal.
The pages of a website can usually be accessed from a simple Uniform Resource Locator (URL) called the web address. The URLs of the pages organize them into a hierarchy, although hyperlinking between them conveys the reader's perceived site structure and guides the reader's navigation of the site which generally includes a home page with most of the links to the site's web content, and a supplementary aboutcontact and link page.
Some websites require a subscription to access some or all of their content. Examples of subscription websites include many business sites, parts of news websites, academic journal websites, gaming websites, file-sharing websites, message boards, web-based emailsocial networkingwebsites, websites providing real-time stock market data, and websites providing various other services (e.g., websites offering storing and/or sharing of images, files and so forth).

the simple steps in creating a website
first step
Register a Domain Name

This is the first step to building your website. The domain name is the address of your site and conveys your brand, so take the time to choose your name wisely.

step two
sign Up for Web Hosting

The web host is the company that houses your site and provides you with email addresses, space for your web pages, free scripts for blogging, forums, social networking, shopping carts and more

step three
Start Building!

How you create your site will depend on the kind you build. For example, if you want to create a blog, you can take advantage of the built-in templates that come with the blogging (WordPress) platform.
If you are going to build a static site like this one then you can either learn HTML/CSS or buy software.

step four
create a niche website

A niche website targets a very narrowly defined group of people (female golf players, heart attack survivors, etc.)
You start by performing keyword research so you can find a "profitable niche" and build a very useful content-rich website that caters to the audience you've defined.
Once your site is up and running you can monetize it by selling ad space, your own products, joining affiliate programs, and more.

Using WordPress for Blogs or Dynamic Sites

If you want to create a blog, I would highly recommend using WordPress because it's the most flexible, robust blogging system on the Web.
What's cool about WordPress is you will have access to a variety of templates you can choose from, so building your website is a breeze.
And when you're ready to change designs, just choose another theme and your site will update instantly!
As you'll see in the video below, WordPress is not just for blogs where your content is dated and sorted in reverse chronological order. You can use it to create a traditional site as well.

step five

Making Money With AdSense

Google AdSenseIf you frowned at the above idea of paying for a website, this may encourage you.
The good news is you can use a program like Google AdSense to earn back any of your hosting fees and even make a profit!
AdSense is a wonderful way to monetize a content/niche website by helping Google display its network ads.
